"What is GEIA?"
GEIA stands for Global Education and Innovation Alliance, and is a global, multi-stakeholder collaborative initiative to guide the independent, innovative and responsive adoption of digital technologies in education.
* GEIA will be officially launched on August 28, 2024 at the Global Education and Innovation Summit (GEIS)

GEIA stands for Global Education and Innovation Alliance, and is a global, multi-stakeholder collaborative initiative to guide the independent, innovative and responsive adoption of digital technologies in education.

1. Recognize the immense potential of digital technology
to revolutionize learning through personalized, adaptive instruction and more individualized guidance from teachers
2. Believe that digital technology
can ensure quality and equitable learning for all if used effectively
3. Emphasize the key role of teachers
in purposefully leveraging digital technology to nurture students' higher-order thinking skills and socio-emotional development
4. Recognize that the integration of digital technology in education
is not a one-size-fits-all process, and therefore commit to knowledge sharing and support to digitally transforming education systems
5. Affirm the safe and responsible use of digital technology
with a focus on digital literacy; appropriate use of digital devices; and protection of user privacy
1. Research and Knowledge Sharing
Facilitate joint research projects in the field of digital technology in education, and convene global forums of knowledge exchange
2. Policy Consultation
Extend policy advice to partner countries to guide the successful adoption of digital technology in their public education systems
3. Implementation Support
Provide technical and financial support to partner
countries for the implementation and scale-up of technology integration in education
